plant pot
bio-based material
*2024
Plant pots, mostly made from plastic and not biodegradable. Eggshells, often considered a waste product within the food industry, despite their valuable minerals and micronutrients. Two things with contrasting life cycles interact. Eggshells serve as the material basis for a biodegradable plant pot, which enriches the soil with the minerals contained within them, can support plant growth, and is fully returned to the natural cycle. An existing object and a perceived waste material complement each other, revealing possibilities within existing resources and enabling a different perspective on material and their use.
