Lilli Seiler is a product designer with a focus on the development and design of functional everyday objects. Her work explores the interplay between objects, materials, use and context. It emerges from the exploration of existing situations and their potentials. After completing her studies in Industrial Design and Design Futures at Folkwang University of the Arts, she now works in research and teaching alongside her design practice.
‘For me, design is an engagement with the existing, through which new connections become visible and tangible. Examining properties, relationships and potentials, and subsequently connecting these observations, enables things to be viewed from new perspectives. The design process translates insights into objects that mediate between observation and application.’
